Geometry

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Geometry welcomes the submission of original, unpublished, literary work.

Stories and creative nonfiction should not exceed 8,000 words in length. Poems should be no longer than 50 lines.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please withdraw your submission immediately if accepted elsewhere.

With acceptance of work for publication, the writer cedes first publication rights to Geometry Literary Journal. We reserve the right to archive issues on our website. Copyright reverts to the author on publication. If the work is subsequently republished elsewhere, acknowledgement of the original publisher/publication should be made.

Our writers are paid anywhere between $10-$50 for poetry, and 1-3 cents per word for fiction and nonfiction.

We do not accept novel extracts, children's fiction and genre fiction such as romance, fantasy and crime stories.

Submittable requires a submission fee which we have set to the lowest possible rate of $3NZD. Current subscribers or former contributors may submit free of charge by emailing their work directly to the appropriate editor. Support Geometry by becoming a subscriber.

Submissions close June 1st, 2019. (NZST)

(We allow a five day grace period following our deadline.)
